Hi! My name is Margaret (my friends call me Meg). I like to journal, play the guitar, collect vinyl records, and create miniatures. I was born in the Philippines and I lived there for a bit when I was younger. My family and I would visit Hawaii and the Philippines frequently, growing my love for the beautiful tropics and my culture.

I began learning how to sew in middle school after growing an affinity to up-cycling my thrifted clothing. I would take in the waists of jeans, sew t-shirts tighter, and hem pant legs. I would pick up the machine every so often, and would occasionally be inspired to make my own clothing from scratch.

It wasn't until my freshman year of college where I really grew my connection with sewing. I would buy patterns off of Pinterest and make my own dresses and going-out tops. Somewhere along that line I decided to play my hand at sewing with stretch fabrics and that's where I really feel my creativity blossomed.

I gained a special interest in sewing swimwear because I would always see such beautiful vintage swim designs on Pinterest that I loved recreating. Becoming increasingly conscious of where my clothing came from, I also couldn't help but acknowledge where and how my swimwear was being made.

So, for a while I would sew my own swimwear and share images of it on my personal Instagram account. After a few months I decided to open up a shop on Depop where my designs quickly proved to be loved by others. And here I am now! I truly am so grateful that I am able to share my art while also bringing to light issues that I care about.
